I've always seen bent over noses with Spitfires when shot into similar mediums and ALWAYS when shot into wood, dirt and such. Water will open them up as designed....or flesh. The TMZ on the other hand will always "flower" in anything due to the tip driving the petals apart. Once they get outside of the bullet diameter, they open the rest of the way and look just like your pictures!
Nice post.

Edge: Is that the famous (or infamous) goat that you talk about? I always wanted to see a picture of the same.

The elusive goat has the ability to change form. I know because I have seen several different pictures of it. This unique ability has everyone mistakenly convinced that they have seen it. Or have they?

Looking back through this stuff and that bent spitfire reminds me of a deer I seen shot in the eye(no kidding) at about 120 yrds. It was two pellets of 777 and the tip just bent over as in the pic and it laid in the jelly bowl. Not impressive to me.
On the other hand I shoot several deer a year with the MZ's and nothing but open petals and great results. Of course a bunch more bullet speed helps too.
