While preparing a power point slide show video for a memorial service, I realized, again, just how short our time here is.

Being 51 myself, 55, the age of a friend of mine who recently passed away suddenly, looks younger all the time.

Have I concentrated on relationships and positive changes which will go on when I am no longer here? Have I caused others to smile when their hearts were heavy, or have I stirred up resentment and caused strife among those around me?

It is unfortunate that many times I reflect on my influence, positive or negative only on the cusp of laying a friend or loved one to rest.

Looking inward....
