I found a original savage 10ml for sale that uses the savage model 12 action. my question is how does the Ignition system work? and are there any replacement parts avalible such as vent liners if they use them or aftermarket breech plugs?

Thanks real hunter. I just found out that the price on the original 10ml is 700.00$. That seems like it is a little to much I think I am going to order a pac nor 45 for my current 10ml.

Modules are $10.00 each and ventliners were $3.00 each the last I bought. No breechplugs available. $700.00 is very pricey for that gun unless its got a very good quality scope with it. Mike

Thats what I was thinking its a rare gun but in reality all I would use is the action the trigger, that is a sharpshooter trigger. and The breechplug. I am not a fan of the savage tupperware stocks.

The original ML I and the ML II both use model 10 short actions. The ML I has locking lugs and uses modules that fit into the breech plug. Any after market trigger made for a Savage will work in the ML I and ML II pre-accutrigger.
ML I are not that rare. Not long ago there was a new one for sale for 450.00. Mike

Technically, I hate to say it, it is like one of those RW answers. Model 10s are blue and Model 12s are stainless. Another thing are we talking about a factory ML10-I in stainless, a pre-accutrigger ML10-II or one of Henry's custom built rifles? I have never seen a SS ML10-I, I thought they were all blue. If it was a factory made ML10 the serial number will start with a "M", if it is a custom built on a centerfire action it may start with a "F".

rossman the gun is blued with a black stock and the SN starts with an M. I was told that fred at sharpshooters installed the aftermarket trigger.

A ML10-I with just an aftermarket trigger sure isn't worth $700. You can buy a NIB -II SS laminated thumbhole and come out with more gun for less.
