I am going away for a few days. My flight does not leave until 3:30 so I had some time to shoot this morning. I still have not fixed the bedding problem, but since I made some new sabots, and also sized some SST bullets I wanted to see if I was making any progress. Well, it was good news AND bad news today! I shot 150 grain Speer Hot Cor 30 caliber bullets in a new design rifled sabot....not so good, they did not feel good going down the bore so I only shot 2, I don't know why I wrote 3! I shot the same bullet using a newly designed NON-rifled sabot. They felt good going down but by the hole diameter there is clearly a problem! The real performer was the Sized SST shot sabotless. 3 shots well under 1/2 inch...most likely luck, but I'll take it every time. Load info is listed. I don't represent that they are safe loads. All loads have 2 greased fiber cards over the powder. Heading to the airport now. edge.
