Remington Arms Co. reintroduced the Remington Mid-Range Rolling BlockTarget /Creedmoor version (.45-70) of this gun in 1997-98.
They do not make this particular cofiguration anymore and, it's my understanding that this particular model (target/creedmoor)was copied exactly as the original down to the lettering, wood, sights, etc.
Only the sporter and silhouette styles are currently being made. I also talked to the Remington Custom Shop recently and found out the msrp prices for the two styles that they currently make have risen over $1000 in just the last year,OUCH!....... Does anyone own the 1997-98 Target/Creedmoor style or have any info they can share about it? Also any info regarding loading and accuracy. I see also where Accurate Powders has smokeless load data for a lot of the old BP calibers......curious as to the accuracy of these? Pocampo
