Well Clintml, your assessment was correct. I tried 38 gr of 5744 and that worked pretty good. Two shots in the same hole!! I was at the range during some other organized shoot so could not test as much as I wanted. Plus this was in 20-25 mph winds. I want to get back and see if I can duplicate and take my crony to check the speed. It loaded fairly easy which was another plus. You can not get a 300 grn bullet to break 2000 fps with 44 grn of 5744.I would guesstimate you will be lucky to break 1700-1750.

One thing to watch out for with these bullets is copper fouling. I tried them in my Omega with BH209 and was not impressed. I can shoot 30+ sabots without swabbing or cleaning and still shoot MOA at 200 yards. With the FPBs I have to scrub the copper out after 5 rounds. I will stick with sabots.
