My first longbeard this past spring.Got him in TN. He came in from over 150 yrds on a string.Gun is a Rem,special purpose,12ga. This is my first Ohio deer. I shot it at about 12 steps from my stand.Hit it a tad high but was lucky to get the spine and instantly put him down.

Nice pics Scott ! We have some white tails up here in N.S.; but no turkeys ( well yes a few of my friends ) There is some talk about introducing turkeys up here. what do you think, is it a good idea? Some people are against introducing non native species to new areas. I my self don't know if it would be good or not. I think it would be great to hunt something new though.

Soggy,
I think it is a good idea, the wild turkey is a hearty bird that can survive in many different envirnments. They have been transplanted all over US. with great results.
Good Hunting,
Al

soggy, not sure if they should bring Turkeys in or not.Depends on the land and pressure and if the people want them or not. They survive and adapt well in all climates of North America but im not sure as to where else. One thing is for sure.Until you have called in a turkey, watching the strut, spitting, drumming and fighting of a big Tom you havent turkey hunted. What a rush...
