Thanks Mamaflinter ! Someday I'm gonna master the act of posting pictures. (I hope ) This has been a great winter for seeing eagles here in Nova Scotia, I think this is about the 6-7th one that I have seen so far. Who knows it might be the same one that I've seen 6-7 times. LOL ;D. There is a place in the central part of the Province, about 100 miles north of here, that has quite an eagle population this time of year. There are several chicken producers located in a very small area, and it seems that they started putting out any birds that died or were put down for what ever reason. It wasn't very long before the eagles found it and the rest is history. Each year for two week-ends in February the community up there has a festival and people come from all over. It is not uncommon to see a high as 40 -50 eagles at one time! My wife and I saw 14 in one big old elm tree at one time, in 1998. Once the ice goes out of the rivers in the spring the birds go back to their individual territories, and we seldom see one until the next winter.

That sure would be a sight to see 14 in one tree. Enjoy the treat for some seldom have that chance.

Soggy, posting pictures here is a piece of cake, even for old guys like us. If I can do it, so can you . Got to the top of the forum and find how to post pictures, print it out and keep it beside you and follow the instructions step by step. That's what I did and it worked. When you've mastered it, send pictures of lobsters so I can savor the memory of that last one I had, at great expense, and the next one, I don't know when/ ;D ;D ;D

You are lucky to be able to see so many. I olny saw a single pair one fall on the Eastern Shore of Md. They put on quite a show flying together.

Soggy
You are fortunate to see eagles where chicken farms are located. In my area where chicken & turkey farms are located and the practice of discarding dead carrion out back only produces turkey vultures and crows.
I guess it has to do with the type of neighborhood one lives in. ;D
