;D ;D It never rains but that it pours ! My first attempt at posting pictures, I was half way through and a fellow came to deliver 3 cords of firewood. Talk about nerve wracking ;D My first love is BLACK POWDER, but since the cost of building rifles is now outta this world I chose to try my hand at building primitive bows this winter. The three in the picture are all from the same piece of wood, it's a piece of white ash that a friend gave me about three years ago. It was a lot of fun (and hard work ) building them but it kept me outta the Mrs. way for most of the winter.................. and if they arn't shooters, I can always cut them up and make ramrods for my rifles ;D ;D Soggy ;D ;D

Deerstalker: I'm thinking the fun is in the building of the bow, rather than the shooting. (this based on previous attempts at shooting LOL ;D) I have shot other long bows at our black powder rendevouz. We have a "fun" woodswalk at one club that I belong to. I will admit that it is fun, but comes nowhere near the thrill of BLACK POWDER (at least for me) I think the biggest challenge for me so far was posting that darned picture ! ;D ;D Soggy ;D ;D

Soggy If posting a picture was your biggest challenge to overcome then I would say nicely done. Then for an encore you build longbows for traditional style shooting then you are one talented man. Ed T

Actually a hat 2 sizes larger ought to do. ;D Looks like you are making props for a western (Indian) movie with all those bows. ;D Always enjoy seeing handcraft work being done and that does take talent from my perspective. Ed T

Hey BP Hound, how about we try some of Birddog6's patch lube instead of lard. By the way my chest was puffed up more when we finished shooting than when you picked me up at the house. ;D LOL Bring your camera down and we'll take some pics of all the "junk" I made this winter. Deerstalker: sorry to disapoint ya, I hunt with .50cal. PRB(but for all that I got this year, I could have hunted with a tennis racket. ;D) The bows are only for : "playing" NewKid: It ain't my chest thats growing; if I soon don't get back to work , and stop eating all the Mrs. good grub I won't be able to see my feet. ;D ;D Soggy ;D ;D
