Good one. On the right a mule deer from last year. Next a 180 gross white tail from 2 years ago and next a 150 from 4 years ago. The last is around 150 taken many years ago in my youth ;D. It's been down in my basement workshop for years gathering dust, so I decided to bring it out. Have a few of my sons racks down there and should bring them out, but that's up to him.

NICE!!! ;D
I like the electric winch on the meat hook! 12v w/inverter or 120v? Which model? Harbor Freight here in the States has a 12v 2000# model on sale for $49.99 now........
Radiant heat up near the ceiling?
I gotta get the garage built.

The winch is 12 V and 2000 lb. Cost me 69.95 but thats Canadian . Instead of using a battery, bought one of those portable batteries for boosting etc. Works great. Have a few more antlers and an old skin mount up there since picture was taken. The skin mount was in my fathers house and shot by my grandfather. It's at least 50 years old, shows it's age and you can tell that taxidermy has come a long way.

I should have added that the couches you see on the right side are gone. They were donated to the local Salvation Army. I replaced them with some new leather furniture my wife had her eye on for some time. Boy did I make some brownie points with that surprise ;D.

After my last post this morning found myself out in the garage and thought I'd take another picture and update it some more. Here goes You'll notice that the cabinets have been painted and even have knobs on the doors ;D.

How do you keep a garage so empty and neat

Over the years I've been in a lot of garages that were full of junk and really cluttered. Some were so full that there wasn't room for a car. When I built this decided I didn't want that. Built extra cupboards, some at the back too that are out of the picture. Also put up lots of peg board. Still have some space left in the cupboards but haven't decided what's going in there. I bought a good table saw that is portable and on wheels and folds up for storage when not in use. When I park in the garage there is still space on the right side for projects. I don't think I'm obsessive but I like things organized.

RAF Whooh, I think you held back a little because I see two additional antler mounts and I head mount on the adjacent wall. ;D ;D Any chance on getting a quick run down on these. I think I could handle some time in this room with the drink of my choice (diet pepsi) in hand and exchanging a few hunting tales. Ed

E.T. There is diet pepsi in the fridge along with regular pepsi, some Molsons , water if you're so inclined(I use it for mix), plenty of ice cubes in the freezer and I won't list what's on the top shelf in the first cupboard ;D. Now for the additional antlers. The small one in the middle, above the clock is my son's first deer. It's a small 4 x 4. The one on the far left is also my son's. He claims it's bigger that mine(2nd one to it's right). Difference of 2/8's green score and the skin mount was a deer shot by my grandfather over 50 years ago. My father had it in his house for the past 40 and I decided to bring it home after he passed away a month and half ago. It's a nice 5 x 5 and has never been scored. Might just do that one day. The mount shows it's age and obviously taxidermy has come a long way since that deer was taken. Incidently my father had another mount at the house. It was a mule/white tail cross but unfortunetly it had hung outside in his carport and was falling apart, so it's gone.

RAF Thanks for the run down on the mounts and what I believe was subtle invite to a visit. If such an opportunity ever presented itself that I was in the provincial neighborhood again don’t be surprised who makes contact through this board’s PM seeking an address. Ed
