I ordered my .45 barrel today, 26", 22 twist, 6 flutes, bead blasted, super match. My son has been waiting for me to order this new barrel so he (me ;D) can see how it shoots and decide if I am going to change out the barrel on his savage also. Our MZ season just ended here in Ohio yesterday. My son killed his buck back during our regular gun season with the Savage and the Barnes original. I put a game camera out this week on Saturday by the box he always hunts and these guys showed up. You can see the box in the background He said that the larger one has an appointment with Mr. Barnes 195 next year ;D

Several thoughts.
I see you have a camera like mine. I love my camera.
Demon deer with glowing eyes. I'd shoot them for looking at me that way!
Gotta watch out for those demon deer. They appear from nowhere and then disappear to where they from just as fast!

Nice pictures what brand of camers are you using?. If for some reason you don't get the pac and the 195 S you can send me a pm and I would be happy to sit in your box and take care of that demon deer for you. I am always willing to help out another board member.

Are you in Knox, Holmes, Ashland or Richland counties? I go to Ohio for the Gun season and hunt with my brother on his farm in Huron, didn't get a chance this year but next year, look out. I have a Stealth cam that goes thru batteries like crazy, am going to change, are these photos on IR? Thanks, Mike

Lundy I am in Crawford county and I hunt morrow and Knox county. I had the worst luck this muzz season the only deer i could get in front of me were button bucks and adult bucks. I was just trying to fill a doe tag but every time a doe was in a position for me to shoot it the thing was either 1 mile from the road or in a position where the shot would have been directed toward another hunter.

I live in Franklin County and hunt Athens County.
These pics are taken with IR.
I learned a few things quickly, don't get the camera too close or the IR will wash out the pics, and the deer do hear it when it activates. It doesn't seem to spook them but they for sure hear it.
It takes pretty nice daytime color pics.
The battery life is a huge issue for me. My older Moultrie GaMe Spys would last for at most a few days. These should give me about a month or more depending on the number of pics. I live over an 1-1/2 away so thats very important.
I am watching for sales to pick up a couple more soon.

What is a good sale price on that Moultrie I-40 camera? I might just try to pick up one of those as well.

What is a good sale price on that Moultrie I-40 camera? I might just try to pick up one of those as well. I purchased this one for $179, I'm hoping to do a little better with the season coming to an end.

I have the I-60. I love it. Had it now for 2 yrs and have great review and one small complaint.
Battery life for me here in Arkansas is as follows. Energizer D cells installed in 3rd week of Sept. Replaced in 3rd week of Dec at 70% batt life. As stated above don't get to close to desired target or the IR washes out the subject. Some times in twilight it will shoot IR when I hoped for normal pics.
