How many shots over what period of time constitute a group? Best group ever or real life every day .

in my instance,i have about 500 shots(in good conditions) over a 1-1/2 year span(mostly @ 200yds)same load that im judging from, some shoot more ,some less,i was just curious what others are averaging,i am averaging 1.25 from all 3 listed ranges & will attempt sat if conditions are right to approach 400 yds again, last spring ranges out to 390yds looked promising but we will see if they were a fluke.

I get around 1.5" consistently at 100yds, and my last group at 200yds was just a hair under 2". Haven't shot it at 300 yet, but that's on the agenda soon.

Great idea! I got the gun a week and a half before season. Won two birds at the shoots 3days later which means that twice it shot better offhand than 4 other shooters did. Harvested two Deer during season, one at 168 lasered yds, the other at 78;Both through the boiler room. Havn't done any range work other than to sight it in 3inches high at 100yds and check it when changing powders. This winter I'll punch some paper with it to get a better idea of it's and my own limitations. 3" and 4" groups were the norm at 100 when sighting in- No Deer was going far as long as I did my part.

Then the bullets were seperated into groups of 3 for shape and weight. No scrubbing between shots. This load averages .5 MOA out of my MLII. Only problem is it is not a real strong bullet like the BO on deer.
