Anyone know where I can get a two or three piece ramrod around 30" in length ? I prefer a two piece brass rod but aluminum will do. Found a nice one piece brass rod but want a multi-piece.

I don't know specifically where you can get the 2 pc brass rod you're looking for , but a real good cheap alternative is the 3 pc outer shotgun cleaning rod. I just counter bored the end piece that accepts the brushes so that I wouldn't deform the spire pts on my bullets. The light weight aluminum is great and it is plenty stiff enough for sabotless.

I use a 3 piece brass rifle cleaning rod that accepts the same jags as the Savage rod. I got it from Gander or some other common place (it's been awhile). The reason I got it was because when I started with the Savage loading was hard enough that the fiberglass rod provided was getting scuffed up to the point I was receiving fiberglass splinters in my fingers, and I started using the brass rod until I could figure out if I wanted to get a new rod for the rifle or not. I like the brass rod and it comes with a big aluminum base for your palm.

Check with SMI, they could probably make one to your needed dimensions.

Thanks for the replies and links, guys. As you have probably guessed, I want the multi-piece rod to use with my, on order, 30" Pac-Nor barrel when I hunt with it next fall. Your suggestions are great and I also found a nice multi-piece CVA that Midway offers. I have lots of time to find a rod but I believe in being prepared early.
