I try to be a full timer though but my wife reels me in a lot. I don't expect to get to all of them but most can be done very easily and quickly. SO I feel I can get most of it done.
My job also lets me have a lot of time off as I only work 3 days a week. Fri sat and sun. so off mon - thru... If I really needed to I can only work sat and sun and be considered full time as friday is overtime or an extra day. LOVE my job too. I asked my wife if I could work 4 days a week for extra time and wife said NOPE she wants me at home. Oh well. Really love my job.
I plan on trying to get to most if not all of these items listed here. I should print it out so I don't forget what I would like to do.

Yesterday I Called Sharp Shooters supply and ordered 3 varmint weight trigger springs, a set of action screws , and a trigger guard so I don't have to swap the one from the staggered feed ,short action, CF between the stockade and the Boyd. Hopefully I can get all three Savages set close to the same trigger pull. Swap barrels, shoot, reload, repeat. Is it spring yet?

OK, I will pull my stand since it is the furthest away and get the one out of the pines on my way back. You can pull the one on the fence line since you wore it out. I will get the one below the barn and you can get the one in the corner of the field. That is fair, I'll get 3 you get 2. Like I said about you killing a big one, I'd rather it be you than someone else.
Hey, at least I got to help you drag out your pulverized deer this year. Did you tell the guys about the damage that SST did? Get them pictures posted on here. P.S. The four wheeler is for me not you, I'll rent it out to ya for a small fee.

Looks good Ed, ranges open yet? Nice comeback that got a good chuckle. ;D Actually the word I got recently is the ranges requiring the 3-sided 14' berms are almost completed. All that will be left is the addition of barrel lift height restrictions at the benches. Now if you want a good chuckle the only reason these 2-requirements are necessary because of fixed shooting benches. If portable benches were in place then the 2-previous alterations are not needed. I really got to wonder what brainchild thought this one up. ;D The only good news is that this operation of installing a 14' berm covering 200-meters isn't costing the Gun Club 1-penny. Some waste/recycle company (forget mention of waste composition) needed to find a location to get rid of this matter and only 25% of sand mixture is required to comply with the new Regs. If the club had to pay for this the cost would be astromical. When I visit this range again I plan on taking a few pictures of this one. Ed

Ed,
"Barrel lift height restriction"? How do you engineer that? Pinch points anyone?

2009 Projects and ideas:
1) Reposition about 6 hang-on stands in the next two months. Deer EHD in Indiana has really beat down the herd. Stand locations that used to be really good were marginal at best, so time to move them closer to the family groups. 2)Want to purchase a new Summit climber, but we will see how the dollars hold-up. 3)Would like to build a 45cal. Muzz. similar to Smokeeters Remington Muzz. conversion. 4)Restock and bed my Savage 22 rimfire with a Boyd's thumbhole that I got really cheap. 5)Get Rifleman to take me Striper fishing again, man that was fun! 6)Start turkey season scouting late March, early April. 7)Want to send my NULA out to get CERAKOTE applied for foul weather hunting. 8)Possibly buy a new PSE Xforce bow. Have been looking at all new bows, and I am really impressed with that one! I currently have a Bear Truth, good bow, just want more arrow speed. Yes arrow speed does matter. 9)Cannot forget my lovely bride and any vacation requests. Possible out west? We even talked about a Merriams Turkey hunt together!
Lots of wants and desires, as I said we will see how the money goes!
p.s. to kilahog: you can fireform 22-250 rounds in that A.I. chamber, then neck size and trim. Might save the aggrivation of resizing the 243 brass.

:)1-well i have 2 project guns in 09.1 will be done very shortly(like a couple weeks) and the other will be close to hunting season. 2-modifying my remedgernator .45 to except a ramrod and have it skim bedded. 3-will be working on a reduced load in my .45 for some of my hunting spots that i will never shoot over 200yrds.i will be using 4227 probably for this and looking in the 2200fps to 2300fps range. that's it ;D. What is skim bedding, dave d? I put DuraMaxx on mine and want it accepting it too! :)olgeburn, skim bed is just a thin layer of bedding.basically i'm having my action bedded.

Ed, "Barrel lift height restriction"? How do you engineer that? Pinch points anyone? Youp50 I agree that is not a good choice of words to describe controlling the launching of a projectile from being able to travel over the backstop of the berm when shooting off the bench. There are ideas being explored for the bench areas to prevent this possible condition from occurring. I am curious too to see what the boys at this club come up with. Ed

ET........A club I used to shoot at up in NY state (Monroe-Chester) had a problem like that. What they did was to install a overhang that extended quite far out and slanted down. They had some what of a mountain behind the backstop and someone let a bullet go over the mountain and into a house. The overhang prevented anyone shooting higher than the mountain. The overhang had a seried of heavy wood baffles. You could of course build it lower to prevent shooting over your berms. Richard

Richard Richard Thanks for expressing that idea and will convey that along to my hunting partner whose brother is actually the elected president of the club. It is one of the few clubs that has a 200yd range to shoot. Wished I lived closer to use this range more often. Ed
