Well I got some things from the UPS man yesterday and today.. 100 BO 457010 and 100 crush rib sabot's. Another package today..150 of the black sabots that MMP says to use with the savage (would these be the hph12) I don't see where it says on them. 100 of the orange sabot's..along with what I have already accumulated..1lb of 5744 and 1lb of 4797 100 hornaday 250grxtp and a lot of SSTwith black sabot's..My tc didn't like the red one's so I got the black extra. Should I order the MMP high pressure sabot's ..the hph12 ? . So far it looks like about $250 in loading goodies... But I want to find what works the absolute best in a couple gun's. Without killing my shoulder. It sound's like allot of $$ but then when I find the "Sweet Spot" I figure that a dollar and a half a load sure is a lot cheaper than the High Dollar shotgun slug's I been buying. Drop

Know what you mean about having a good supply on hand $$ for shooting.
Before I would consider ordering anything else I would first remove the breech plug and try some fits with current supplies on hand to see what produces the best fits. If there is not a sabot that mates with a bullet for a good fit then I would look at additional options for further purchases.
Also check the lands impression on sabots for nice clean lines. If there are any ragged lines appearing then you have some burrs on the lands to clean up.

I got one thing to say....... take $20 and buy a slip on Limb Saver Recoil pad....after about 15 shots (load development) the factory recoil pad and the recoil began to hurt so bad that my shooting began to suffer....not good for load development.....after that I have had many 25+ range sessions and can honestly say that not a single pain other than a few scope eye close calls.... ;D

Initially I used J&B bore cleaner without pre-wetting the bore. That took about 250-cycled strokes. Now if I had to do it again I would prefer Richard's advisement of using 600-800-grit compound with far less strokes. But you may not need to do this if you don't see any signs of burrs.
A spin jag is a good investment IMO as it rotates down the bore with the load. Coupled with a solid aluminum ramrod and a T handle at the end of the ramrod makes life easier at the range when lots of shooting is planned.
