I was figuring that I would back off about 2 grains of my H4198 when I try some 325 grain Hornady .458 flex tips. I shoot 67 grains (like many others) with 300 grainers, does that sound about right?

You will be just fine. When I was toying with sabotless .50 stuff, I had used 65 Gr H4198 with a 375 gr bullet.

You'll probably have to decide how much recoil before you worry about a pressure limit. I'm sure 67 grains is below the sabot blowing limit but you're talking about getting over 2300fps at full load. You should expect some recoil.

I get 2350 with 67 grains and a 300 SST with excellent accuracy and the recoil is very reasonable to me so if I can safely get the 325 grainer up to 2350-2400 with accuracy I would be very happy.

The Hodgdon load data for the 50 Alaskan shows a 435 grain bullet will reach 2089fps with 62 grains of H4198. The pressure is only about 35,000psi or less. A 325 grain should reach near the same energy (2400fps) at the same pressure Of course you'll shoot more powder with a lighter weight bullet. The Alaskan has the same or shorter barrel as the 10ML so results generally work out fairly well.
