Food for thought for prospective owners of a new 10-ML-2. Last year I got my 2nd 10-ML -SS,plastic stock, non-accu trigger. I fire lapped it at a fair amt of expense $ wise and a great amt of expense time wise. Performance improved measurably. I got a laminated stock from Kevin Rayhill, had it pillar and glass bedded, Edward's recoil reducer, Sim's recoil pad, Leupold steel Weaver bases and Leupold QRW rings, very good scope, and a SSS competition trigger. I'm afraid to add up the cost. The rifle is very nice with virtually no recoil and is very accurate. I'm very pleased with the rifle; BUT had I to do it again, I'd get on the list for a Henry Ball version. I think it would be a lot more cost effective.

Really nice report. Ya, it's pretty hard to beat a Savage that has been totally reworked and gone over buy the inventor. No hoping you get a good one. It will be from Henry Ball.

I added a mercury recoil reducer and a Simms pad to mine, and what a kicker-reducer system it is!! It would be a good addition to Henry Ball's Ltd Ed OR the regular one us po' folk buy. ;D
