I was out shooting this evening, 84 degrees and humid. It was shady. I took three shots with N110 and the 250 Shockwave. I was waiting ten minutes between shots. But, immediately after that third shot, I tried blowing compressed gas down the barrel. I did not wait at all. I blew the compressed gas down the muzzle for 30 seconds and then loaded right away with 43 of N110 and the 250 XTP. I did use the sub base and the new MMP sabot. First shot, dead on! It was 2 high and dead on windage. I blew the compressed gas down the barrel for 30 seconds and reloaded immediately. The second shot was touching the first. d**n I thought this trick works. I thought I was going to get my coveted MOA group. But, the third shot went right for a 1 3/8 inch group. I got this idea from newcomer Rifleman, havn't seen this discussed before. This compressed gas is the Kensington Duster 2. Says it Removes Dust and Dirt from Electronic Equipment. I can't remember where I bought it, I got years ago for blowing dust from the little wall heater. Might have gotten it at WalMart. It smells like freon. As I remember it cost $5. It holds 10 ounces and has a little 4 inch tube about like a WD40 tube. I assume the CO2 for paint ball guns comes out just as cold. If we could rig up one of those big containers that would be the cat's meow. This can, I don't know, it would have quite a few 30 second bursts.

Simon go to google and search on the stuff and you'll see them listed plenty. Did you put that in the primer area then?

I messed around a while at home trying to get that little pipe into the primer hole. It was a hassle, aim the rifle down and the bolt closes etc. So, I figured, do it the easy way and just blow the air down the muzzle. Being a stream it is going to go down to the breech. Also, cold air falls, so due to natural convection the cold air will go to the breech, which is where the barrel is the warmest. I set the rifle on the butt stock and stuck the little tube down the bore and squirted away.

;DIf you're in a hurry I don't see why it won't work. I've got around the time barrier by shooting more than one rifle but this and the copper tube cooler seem like good ideas to me for a single rifle.

edge--This is a gas as it goes into the barrel. I was just playing around with the can, if you invert it then it will come out as a liquid. Squirting out as a liquid, I don't like it, seems like it could do some damage. If the can is held upright it always comes out as a gas.
