Welcome to the Forum wilded!
I went with the Weaver Grand Slam Steel S46 bases Part No. 48227 (Matt Black). Very solidly made bases. Same fits frt. & rear.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered a savage and need to get the bases and rings. I will be taking it on a combo elk and deer hunt in New Mexico this year. ;D

Your welcome Ed. Sounds like you have a great hunt ahead of you. Alot of xperience here for you to post up questions for advice in settin up your new 10 ML-II.
For sure, you made as solid choice there with the 10 ML-II!

I think steel bases are a must on this gun. Secondly, QR rings such as Leupold QRWs are certainly convenient and satisfactory.

The weaver are steel and you can use either qrw rings or prw rings . I like prws but the qrws are good too. I have to work inside a budget like probably everybody else. I was thinking though......... hm a 20 moa base and a leupold mk 3 16x with mildots..... hmm 1000 yd line, nahhh I hate working overtime. Rifleman
