Anybody enjoy ice fishing? It was below zero Fahrenheit with a brisk northwest wind today. The local Heikky Luhnta fishing derby. Needed lots of propane to keep the drinks from freezing. Lots of lookers and few takers. All the takers were less than eight inches. Yellow perch was the intended quarry. Natural casing hot dogs was the supper.

I love to winter fish,..............in Florida! I'd like to try that too but no time. My wife just reminded me, 6 more sleeps and we'll be in Miami . Back to the topic, I like ice fishing but up here I don't have much choice. Snow and ice everywhere . How much ice to you get in the UP. By the end on winter we'll have about 3 feet. Right now it's over 2.

Shoot Raf if I was going to Miami I would make it a point to take a charter, best near shore fishing you will find next to Hawaii. The gulf stream is very close to shore at Miami, and many times even bluewater fish like sail fish can be caught within sight of the city.

Dwight, I'll only be in Miami over night. Get there in the evening. Next day on to a Cruise ship to do the Carribean. When I get back I over night and then back in the air for home. I wonder if the Captain will let me troll off the back of the ship . I'll try and remember to wave as I fly over you
