I have a friend who want to go to the range. I have a key. Anyway he wanted to shoot a 308 he's had since he's been a kid(1st rifle). Wants to take it along on an elk hunt as a back up. I didn't have anything I needed to shoot so decided to take my Savage HMR and do a little plinking. Well, this little rifle never ceases to amaze me. I haven't shot it since spring but it still shoots like a dream. The zero wasn't quite what I wanted and made some adjustments, after I remember that the scope I have is completely backwards to any other scope I've ever owned . Anyway, I adjusted it so it put all the little itsy bitsy holes in the 3/4 inch bulleye at 100 yds. Then for fun I started shooting at a pop can that was 1/2 up the backstop just past the 200 yds mark. All I had to do was hold just over it and watch it jump in the air. Neat. I do like this rifle.
