Thanks guys, One thing, even with that pencil thin barrel it is heavy. That Farrel base is super nice but pretty stout. I was talking to a friend on the phone and told him it seemed liked it weighed as much as an M16A2. He replied " Oh, a 9lb pistol huh" LOL So it got tagged with the name, The 9 pounder...

Rifleman, How does it shoot? I imagine that in your hands it is a "sniper pistol". ;D

Craig just got to shoot it a little bit yesterday. So far things look promising, biggest group was 1.5 at 100 yds from a hot barrel. I was screwing around with the scope, alot and wasn't really tring for groups. had my buddy Dr Johnson from the boys ranch with me and let him try it. He went 5 for 6 on a set of steel poppers at 100 yds. We were just killing some time before we took the ladys out for dinner. So far so good but I still have some work to do with this gun. A pleasant surpirse was that it the recoil was more manageable then my 44 mags. Must be due to the weight of the gun and bipod and style of the grip.

Shot some more yesterday. Compared the Remington 140 gr core lokt to the Federal 140 gr Fusion. The Fusion clocked out about 2420 fps average and the Remingtons were quicker at about 2490. I thought both would be faster then that. The Feds had a small deviation, about 15 fps but the Remingtons were spread out over about 90 fps. It was no surprise either when the Feds out shot the Remingtons in limited testing. At 100 yds the Remingtons were about 1 3/4 on average for 3 shots and the Feds stayed under an inch, with 2 groups that went 3/4 OS to OS. One group was shot at 12x, and then I shot another at 3x to check for POI change, it moved about 1 inch down and 1 inch right, but I was surprised to see it come in at 3/4 as well. So far the Feds get the nod. I had a feeding problem earlier, but got that corrected as well. Still have more work to do, but so far things are looking promising.
