OK what are the odds of having problems with factory shells three times in 1 year with different manufacturers? well yesterday was the first day of rifle season here in PA. windy with some sleet. well i saw a small deer at 20 yards and didn't take it, too small. then as i was watching this one out of the corner of my eye i see movement and its a nice sized doe at 50 yards. well she must have seen me get my gun into position cause she was looking at me. well i pulled the trigger and CLICK! as i tried to eject to eject the shell she took off. well i worked third and at 12:30 i decided to get some sleep and when i got to the field i decided to try and see if it would go off and NOPE! so i took one of the same brand and it did go off. must be a bad primer??
well earlier this year while turkey hunting i had the same thing happen when shooting at a turkey but i got the shell out and reloaded and got the turkey. different manufacturer of rifle bullet. but when i tried the shell it went off the second time?? and when target shooting for turkey and trying different loads to see what would shoot better i had one get stuck in the chamber! whats next??

The cartridge that did not go off, does it have a small dent in the primer, or regular size?
If they are dented but small then I might suspect the headspace is a bit on the long side and the cartridges are to SAAMI minimums, and your firing pin may need to be cleaned and lubed with graphite.
Good luck.

normal dent. tried others and they went off. this was with 2 different guns. i think i might try and clean bolt though on rifle.

Never had that happen and am really wondering how high those odds are to have that happen.
Years ago I did have a BP cap fail to ignite, while looking at a buck. Second one set the load off. I can vouch for the frustration, it was also about 20 below and the beaver pond was frozen or I would have made a deposit. Never went back to muzzle loaders till a couple of years ago and the when I got my 10 ML.
