I called Richards Gunstocks to order a laminated stock for my gun and was told they had no stocks that would take sling swivel studs due to the channel for the ramrod. Got to have a sling for a deer hunting gun. Anyone know a way around this?

I have a Richards stock that I installed a sling on, I don't think that it will be a big problem.

bobs, I ran into same problem with Duramax stock. Before I routed it out for a ramrod I cut a 3/4"x1" pocket about an 1/8" deep in the area of the front swivel on the bottom of the forearm. I then cut a 3/4"x1"x 1/8" plate out of a piece of cold roll. Drilled a hole in center, then tapped for a threaded swivel stud. Epoxied the plate into the pocket then screwed the stud in place along with a jam nut using red loctite. Then went on to fit a tube in the forearm to hold the ramrod.
