Obviously not, since I have no idea where Maskatatuck even is? What state? Richard

There may be other places with that name but the only place I have heard of as I recall was in southern Indiana, Scott County I think but do not take that as the gospel.

Your close Jim IMO. If I'm not mistaken what he is talking about is some low lying river bottoms in southern Indiana, a National wildlife refuge. Basicly 60 miles north of Louisville,Ky. Farmers couldn't get it drained so the government bought it. Of course it would help if he spelled it right, Muscatatuck. The only reason I know of it is because of Jeffersonville Proving Grounds is just east of there and the Muscatatuck Training Facility which is the old mental institution that the Indiana NG has converted over to big training site for the Army, SWAT teams and Homeland Defense is also close.

I live 3 miles from the refuge ..Deer have under gone a deduction big time due to disease the last 2 yrs ..the herd has been cut to a 1/3 the size it once was ..but it does have some big bucks there ..I hunt it every year in the last bow season . its open to public then... if You want my advice..hunt the area ..but it will take at least 4 or 5 yrs for it to return to its glory days the refuge is located 3 miles off I65 exit 50..Seymour ..good luck on ur hunt
