What's the highest velocity you've chronographed (not estimated) with a 50 cal saboted or sabotless load? Please give details.

2480 something, 250 tmz supplied sabot, 70 gr H4198, CCI 209M
Lowest recorded was 231 fps 250 xtp, HPH 24 trimmed, 70 gr H4198, CCI 209M. ;D

2720'/sec @ 10 yds with duplex of VV-110/VV-120 and 250 XTP/short mmp/WW. Very accurate, very temp sensitive. THE std duplex before the 14/61 was 10/60 110/120. A really cold snap in AR and other places a few years ago happened - temps dropped to 0 and below here in AR. Velocity of this load dropped to <2000'/sec! The next year the 14/61 was used thanks to development by RB and confirmed by many of us.

Averaged 2775 fps with duplex load of 12/68 N110/H322 in warm to hot weather with 250 SST.
Was very accurate, reasonably OK on sabots BUT kicks like mule!
This was the first time I shunned a load based on recoil. I worked back down to the 14/61 @ 2600 which was virtually the same ballistics to 300yds and less recoil.

I was trying to stay out of this but Craig lured me in.
3,150 fps with 30/60 4759/322 and 185 .451 xtp and short MMP black.
Ok accuracy. Useless for anything but saying I did it. One woodchuck confirmed the speed at 20 yds. Extreme Terminal Perfornance.

in my 50 I've got up to 2675 fps with a 30/40 duplex of SR4579/H322 under a knurled Barnes 250g TEZ flat based bullet and Harvester Red Crush Rib sabot. Accuracy was poor. Recoil was "stout".

I have cracked 2700 fps with 10/60 N110/N120 in hot weather with a 250 XTP. Five shots averaged 2690. Accuracy was under 2" Richard

8-)I hate to answer these things because most of these loads are impractical. However I guess I owe you (all of you) an answer.
A 250 grain bullet reached over 2800fps with about 90 grains of Xmr-2015. The recoil is outrageous even when shooting from a standing position.
With a 300 grain bullet I've shot 2600fps with 80 grains of H322. This load was a part duplex (7 grains) but the booster was only to insure ignition not to raise speed.
With a 350 grain bullet (the Speer semi-spitzer) I've reached 2515fps with 84 grains of H322. If you shoot this load Hang On!
With a 400 grain bullet (400 grain Speer flat nose) I've reached near 2200fps with 80 grains of Imr-3031.
With the 500 grain Speer Tungston solid I've reached nearly 2300fps with 100 grains of Varget and 4 grains of Imr-4756 as an igniter insurance. This one is only for the brain dead or those about to be that way.
I've also shot a 200 grain bullet to 3000fps but the sabot had special support that I don't count as a real load because I only list what anyone could shoot.

ok, ok i have had the 200 sst to 3300 fps in my .45 cal. the load was 88 grains of bench mark. recoil was fairly stiff but not bad to me. only problem is half the sabots made it and half didnt, but boy if they did it sure vaporized a one gallon milk jug full of water-lol!!!! sb
