Is the T/C White Mountain Carbine the same as the New Englander, or the Renegade? What other kinds of T/C barrels will fit it? Thanks.

I know they have a 1 in 20 twist and work well with conicals because the neighbor boy has one. I do not know if Renegade/New Englander barrels will fit.

The WMC is more like the PA hunter. The rib on the barrel of a Hawken or Renegade would have to be cut to fit the forend because it is a bit longer.
The barrel from a PA hunter will fit a WMC stock.
The barrels are like that of a Hawken or Renegade as the .45 and .50 are 15/16 and the .54 (yes the WMC was made in a .54) are 1 inch across the flats.
The rifling twist of the WMC are as follows: .45 and .54 calibers 1 in 48 twist .50 caliber 1 in 20 twist.

I have a 50 flintlock WMC My wife shoots a 54 caplock. Dougs right about cutting the rib if you were to put the WMC on a Renegade stock but also the oct part falls an inch or so back from the forend. I never saw a 45 WMC, see a lot of 50 caplocks. I know Doug has a 50 flint too-the only other one I heard of. I saw one other 54 cap at a gunshow but the barrel was rotten. another victim of pyrodex not cleaned well after firing. Some folks somehow got the notion you dont have to be as thorough cleaning after Pyrodex. I see a lot of trashed barrels around here (Western NY) due to that.
