Anyone know anything about them? NEW For 2004!!!! The RMC Accusporter LTD has all the features of the RMC Accusporter, plus a removable breech plug and EC Load System. Our gun combines a 1:28 twist Green Mountain Barrel with an L & R Lock which is hand fitted into a classic wood laminated stock. Added features include: a precision located lock assembly to assure a perfect fit between the lock and the barrel, all metal fiber optic sights and a touch hole alignment that is in the optimum position for reliable, fast ignition. The removable breech plug will make cleaning a breeze with the Accusporter LTD, and easy to remove those “stuck” loads. The new EC Load System makes loading conical and sabot style bullets easy. The relieved barrel bore allows easy insertion of the bullet into the barrel, and provides positive alignment when starting the bullet. A custom made, quality gun which is made in America. Available in right or left hand models and 24 & 28 inch barrel lengths. Includes hard guncase. rmcsports.com/ www.rmcsports.com/accuporter3.jpg [/img]

Well, just that it would be a real stretch of the imagination to call one a "traditional" M L !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

;D I do like the "classic laminated stock". Just when I think in my mind that traditional is kind of understood, we come up with a stock like this for a side lock. How about a "classic synthetic stock"?

I thought muzzleloaders with flintlock ignition were closer to being "Traditional" than anything else? Came across the RMC Flintlock and was merely hoping for some useful input....nothing else, but nothing else is what i got.
If Moderator would like to delete my thread, feel free to do so.
Lookin for a good huntin fast twist flinter to use in PA"s late "Flintlock Only" Season. No peep sights are allowed. Already have a PA Hunter 1-66 twist flinter 31" bbl(prb shooter) & TC Firestorm 1-48 twist flinter 26"bbl( Guess both these are "non-traditional" also). Firestorm has syn stock and TC PA Hunter has a frt F.O. sight. The RMC comes with a 1-28 bbl which is what I'm lookin for.
Here's what is legal to carry:
Only those with flintlock ignition, single barrel long gun, .44 caliber or larger, with iron or open sights. Flintlock muzzleloader hunters may use "any single projectile," including sabots, and mini and maxi balls.

Bayouman, this gun my not be called traditional in many ways but it sure is more traditional than any uh inline. ;D This sounds like a good hunting gun and I also like the laminated stock. It wears a good lock and barrel. At least it is made in the good ole US of A. ;D

But the bottom line is what YOU like...not what anyone else likes...if the RMS appeals to you, then get it and enjoy it. GM makes great barrels so that's a +; I've seen pros & cons posted about L&R locks, so not sure about the lock; The laminated stock should be good and strong so it should last a long time; Check the warranty length of time and what's covered, etc.

Doug, it looks like a nice huntin flintlock. I called RMC and they seem very knowlegable and actually make/assemble the guns in PA. Come with GM bbl and L&R lock. 100% good ole USA. Our flintlock's must have a reproduction lock design mirroring those made prior to 1,800 to be legal in our 3 week late "Flintlock Only" deer season. The L&R lock meets this requirement. Peep style sights are also illegal. I hunted prb's for many years but about 5 years ago they allowed us to shoot conicals etc. which provides the late flinters many more viable options to enjoy.

Thanks roundball. The non-removable breech plug model goes for $369 delivered and the LTD (w/removable breech plug) $409. Both come with case. Looked around and the RMC is the only flinter I could find with a fast 1-28 twist bbl. Already have a 1-66 & 1-48. I see L&R Lock Company is located in South Carolina. www.lr-rpl.com/ Not sure what locks my TC flinters have. They are fast/reliable.
