So some are counting down. ;D Now what caliber gun and what type of gun are you plan on using this season. I plan on hunting the early season with one of my flinters in .50 caliber.

roundball, have you been out scouting yet? Does it seem like there are more deer in your neck of the woods or less than last year? Here they still have their red coat and are everywhere.

Starting serious weekend scouting and prep this weekend...going to shoot a flintlock at daybreak, then check a place where I want to hang a stand for this fall...get back in the house A/C before it gets too hot

Yes it is getting that time of the year and hunting season will be on us before we know it. I only wish the heat would let up some. It seems like it is either too hot or too cold anymore.

My first tag is good Sept1 thru the end of Feb, and the other is good from early Oct thru early Nov. I will probably not hunt till Oct due to the heat unless I get a bad case of Fusil fever before then........
