deerstalker I see that no one answered your question, so I will. Yes the price listed is a good price. These are no longer made and harder to find than they used to be.
Just be careful with it and call T/C to inquire if it has the updated tang bolt. They discovered the design of their tangs were not doing well (at least in the 50's) and with moderate loads they would split the stock in the wrist area. You can send it back to T/C for an update free of charge. You will get a completely restocked rifle for your efforts.

If the stock isn't spit they will replace the trigger guard/trigger assembly and drill the stock for a front tang machine screw which screws into the new trigger guard. The reason my stocks were replaced was because they were split.

So if the stock is split do they replace the whole rifle or just the stock?
I am confused.

I got the scoop directly from TC on this just a few min ago.
Only the Renegade and the Hawken were part of this recall. The WMC has never had any sort of recall or product information.
and the rate of twist on mine is 1:38.Probably why it shot sabots so good at the range the other day.

If something is wrong with your rifle, Thompson Center will fix it. Their service is great.
