I started off this year with four deer so far. One doe during the youth hunt, one doe during bow season, one buck during firearm season, and the last deer I shot was a doe, I shot at two times and then finally hit with the third shot at 40 yards. the first time I shot at her at 210 yards and shot over her.I forgot what my dad told me ;D The second shot,I hit a limb I started to reload my gun and she started to walk towards me. She walked all the way to my stand and saw me putting the primer in and then she ran down the fence row and into the cornfield about 40 yards and started feeding , so then I got steady and pulled the trigger and hit her right threw the front left shoulder and it exited right behind the right shoulder ,then she ran 20 yards and flopped over. ;D

You got lucky dude!! Whenever I shoot at one it kicks in the afterburners and goes to the next area code. Congrats...

I was sitting watching the same field. He was just out of sight. At the first shot I gave him a few minutes and dialed him up.In his excitement,he forgot his hold-over.This deer was a real retard on a mission! ;DShe ran at the first shot,to only circle and come out at a different place and head towards him.He pulls up with out looking first for limb obstructions. He killed that Hackberry limb stone dead! The same deer runs into the woods comes back out and walks right to him again! She caught movement from him and side steps it out into the field at a range of about 40 yds.He finished what he started the third time! I teased him about not shooting the retarded does and leaving them in the gene pool!LOL! DAD
