I guess I'm putting this in the wrong section, but I want some good info and people to respond. I purchased my first game camera about a month ago, I bought a Moultrie Infrared I40 on ebay, got it and 2 sd 1gb cards for 214.99 It takes really good day time pics, and the night time images are good as well, only time it gets fuzzy is when a deer is moving quickly.. But from what i've read that could be because of slow memory cards? Just wondering what camera's you guys have used, and what you all thought about them and reccomendations!

I have a Moultrie GS200, and it takes pretty good pics as well. I use 1GB cards too and haven't noticed any problems. Mine are Sandisk Ultras so they may be faster than the standard cards, but I'm not sure.
One thing to check is the settings on the camera. Mine has the option of IR focus or std focus. I think the IR focus sometimes causes will mess things up on moving targets. It takes longer to go through the motions than the regular focus so by the time the pic is taken the distance to the target is different.

I guess I'm putting this in the wrong section, but I want some good info and people to respond. ! Yup..........wrong forum............and it will probably get moved by one of the moderators to the correct forum. I'll just follow the link when it is moved because i am needing to invest in my first trail cam as well. Seems like there was a thread started here a few weeks ago about the same subject, but i can't remember the recommendations. Good luck with yours, KerryB

you picked a great cam in my opinion. I think that almost ALL IR cams homebrew included will be blurry when movement occurs. Live with it, or live without IR is what I know. Its nice with IR to be able to get video at night, cant do that with a white flash cam. www.chasingame.com is a good reference place, they will point you to RDHC and HAGS House, great places with great people, kinda like the savage boards of the game cameras :-) cheers, PM me if you have other questions. -bubba www.whitetailsupply.comwww.snapshotsniper.comshould get you going !

yeaa.. i knew it would get noticed there, but i wouldn't have done it but it seems there are as many random questions about scopes, so i figured, scope, camera what the heck..
but i'm thinking of purchasing another moultrie camera.. got a quote today for another i40 with 2 sd cards fro 210, thinking about taking them up on it..
just thought i might hear some different ideas here..

I think in that price range there are several good trail cameras. I have used a couple types and they both worked about equal. It is really exciting to see what all you have captured while you were not there. My first was a 35MM which required taking somewhere to develop film but I got images that were better than I have captured with Digital. With me using it is off and on. Haven't had it out in awhile. But my interest is coming back.

well i did purchase another moultrie i40 last night, can't wait to get it!
I went to chasingame.com as someone said and did a review of nearly every camera, seemed to me that the moultrie review was reallllllllllly hard to beat.. chasingame didn't seem to have a whole lot to say about the cuddeebacks...
