Rifles are now legal in my area of upstate NY, so had the opportunity to use the 270 & took 2 deer with that. Got one with the 12 ga. slug gun and closed the year out with 2 more with the old TC Hawken 45. Final take was 3 buck and 2 does, none remarkable, but nice deer none the less. Was luck enough to be able to get out 4 or 5 days a week over the month or so that our gun seasons run, and had some real nice snow. Icing on the cake was that I had my 8 year old grandson with me for the deer with the slug gun, a small buck taken up near Montezuma during the second weekend of the season. All are boned and in the freezer. Now processing into sausage of various kinds. Got 30 pounds of fresh sausage smoked yesterday, and my wife I enjoyed some for dinner last night. Gawd, I love deer hunting and am thankful to have gotten another season.
