Received mine yesterday. Picked up eight containers from midway. Figured I might as well get some mileage out of the hazmat fee.
I am working rediculous hours lately and will likely not shoot it until Monday.
Initial impression: THIS IS SMOKELESS POWDER that has been modified to "smoke" a bit. Nitrocellulose has a very distinct smell. This stuff smells like a freshly openecd keg of H4350 and looks like a hollow extruded IMR SR4759.
My SWAG is that Western has taken the time and effort to develop a volumetric "smokeless" equivalent to 100gr of T7. Trust me this is like no other black powder sub we have ever seen!
The line between "smokeless" and "BP subs" will be blurred beyond beliefe by this stuff.
Check out some of the chatter on modernmuzzleloader. They have a corrosion test that has been going for nearly three weeks. Absolutley no moisture wicking properties. No swabbing between shots.
The page has been turned.
