;)First hunt up the makings. Then fire up the camp stove and heat up some oil in the good ole cast iron skillet. Roll your squirrel pieces in Bisquick brown them up in the hot oil. Then remove, drain off the oil and put in about 1 inch of water. Cook the squirrel on simmer until very tender. Meat will flake from the bone easily. I cover the skillet as the steam does the meat good. You may have to add water as necessary. Salt and pepper to taste. Make sure you have plenty!

Thanks Predator II, The water you mentioned steams the squirrel and makes it tender. For a young squirrel you might not have to do that. You mentioned using oil to fry them in. What kind? I usually use lard. Yes I know I know not good for you but it makes them so GOOD! ;D

;)Doug, I generally use canola oil but any vegetable oil will do. Yes Crisco or lard works well but my Dr. has me on a strict diet and I go off of it enough the way it is. The main thing is to get those squirrels browned up. You could switch pans and make some gravy and some bisquits and ...

Use Olive Oil !!! It gives a better flavor and is healthy.

IMHO if ya mix up some Biquick with water and make dumplins and throw them in as it simmers to make squirrel and dumplins. One of my favorites. Give it a try Preditor, I promise you will like it. Doc Will Keep Yer Powder Dry
