Ozark; If you are the stew maker try this, You should like it.
2# Venison cut into 1 in cubes 1/2 cup flour 1 tbsp salt 1 tbsp black pepper 4 strips thick bacon 2 medium onions 12/16 ozs mushrooms (portabellas if possible sliced) 1 bottle 7-up 1 tbsp cider vinegar 1 tbsp brown sugar 1/2 tbsp thyme leaves 1/2 head of medium sized red cabbage
Put the flour,salt,pepper into a bag and shake the meat in it. Chop the bacon into 1 in squares. Place bacon,onions and half the mushrooms in the bottom of the crock pot. Add the meat and flour mixture from the bag. In a small bowl mix 7-up, vinegar, brown sugar and thyme. Pour over meat. Cover pot, turn to low heat and cook for 6 hrs. Add remaining mushrooms and cabbage. Finish cooking until cabbage is done. Serve over homemade noodles. ;D
