;)For the last three years I have taken two of my grandsons to southern Indiana and we have gone squirrel camping. We typically get there a day or two before the season opens and get the tent and camp site squared away, do a little scouting, and fish a little. When the opening morning comes they are READY and so am I. We usually split up and take one adult with one kid and only one gun. I dont intend to shoot any squirrels when with one of my grandsons. We have a great time and when thsy get tired of hunting we go to the beach or on an ice cream run. This trip falls the week before school starts and is kind of a last summer vacation thing to do. Any body else squirrel camp?

I'll have to keep that idea in mind for when my twin nephews are old enough to hunt. They are 2 1/2 rite now, and I know that they will be ready to hunt in just a few more years. Squirrel hunting/camping would be an awsome way to get them started. That way they will experience camping the rite way instead of just 4 wheeler camp. 4 wheeler camp gets a little wild around my crowd.

I saw an article about a town in La. that has squirrel day. I thought that it was real neat they had closed down the whole town, town offices, school, stores, etc and went out squirrel hunting on opening day of squirrel season. I try to do some camping and squirrel / deer (muzzleloader) / turkey hunting when the seasons do their overlap that happens here in a week or so.

My brother and myself took our two nephews and my son last yr on there first squirrel hunt.We didnt get one but the hunt was priceless anyway. I get much enjoyment from watching the kids see the outdoors and there reactions from what they see. We are going back soon.... Great job Predator II.
