Can I get close to the same performance from the 26'' bdl sporter barrel as with the 26'' bull fluted sendero barrel. This is a 300rum and will only be used for hunting. Heating up the barrel on the bench should not be concidered in this for after sighting in there will be very little range work.
thanks,DM

dancoman, what load are you shooting in the 300RUM Sendero? I bought one sometime ago new for $650 it is blue with a 27 " heavy barrel., Laminated stock. It shoot real good. I shoot 88.0 grains of IMR-4831 behind a 150 grain Sierra BT. I have never really shot too many different loads through it, came across this load and bought the rifle just before rifle season and wanted to use it. since then I have killed alot of deer, both during the regular season and this year on crop damage permits.

OW77, I started out with the 180 scirocco and was not pleased. Now I'm loading the 200Accubond with 92gr RL25. This gun will be used mainlly for elk and such, that's why I am loading the 200AB. Also have a 7mmRUM sendero that I have loaded with 94.5gr RL25 with 150gr sciroccos. Mainlly bought the 300rum to shoot the heavier bullets. The 7mmrum will out perform the 300rum with the 150 class bullets. If you are shooting long distances, look at the scirocco or Accubond. Both have a high BC and are great on deer.
Good luck, DM
PS- Is Millville on the Eastern Shore, I hunt a good bit on the Eastern shore of Maryland.
