Went to the range yesterday and checked my savage muzzleloader and it was still on at 1,2 and 3oo yds, just waiting on the deer season now. Bought a savage low profile 22/250 and a tikka 308 a couple weeks ago and both are really shooting better than expected allready. Shot 2 (5-shot groups) with 2 different loads with the 22/250 that you can cover with a dime at 100 yds, going to work on it at 300 next trip. The 308 shot every load I tried in it very well the largested being 1.6 in at 100.Had one that was very close to a one holer,2 in one hole and the other just the wideth of a hair touching the two.Tried it at 300 and it really shined, going to reload some more of the same and try this load again. If I measure from outside to outside less than caliber I get .410. Going back to the range this morning have 3 savage muzzleloaders to set up.
