Ithaca model LSA55 Rifle, Caliber 308 Win. Does anyone know where I can get scope mounts for this rifle. The action has grooves milled into the action for scope mounts and Ithaca doesn't have them any more. It was made in Finland. So far no luck finding them. Thanks for any info. Thanks, DH

O.K. I see the bases listed for the rifle but that leaves me a little confused. This rifle has bases milled right into the receiver something like a Ruger model 77. All I should need is the rings and they should clamp right on to the groves that are already there. I looked up another source and it said the LSA55 was drilled and tapped for a scope. Not mine. I am suspecting that there was a model variation where one was drilled and tapped for bases and rings and the other had the bases milled into it. From what I can find out the rifle was only on the market for a few years in the 70s. I bought it used and it is a pretty neat lightweight rifle. It weighs about 6 lbs. and has about the slickest little bolt action I’ve ever seen. I just went and took another look at it and measured the “base” width. A Weaver base measures .837 of an inch from edge to edge. On this rifle the milled in base measures .630 from edge to edge. I am wondering if Ruger rings would work. Thanks for your response. DH

Just a follow up to this thread I found that Tika Rings will fit this rifle. DH
