This is my 2002 PA ML seaon harvest in PA's late season. I hunted for three + hours in heavy rain and winds, then it got calm for a few hours. Not 5 minutes after I dropped her in her tracks, the storms started again and lasted 45 minutes. But even in period attire I stayed quit comfortable, which is why this is how I prefer to hunt. The Late PA Flintlock only season is the only time you can be in period dress (or out of orange). I wish it was a perfect world so we could do this anytime without putting our life on the line. But it is 2004 and hi-vis orange is the shade of our time. Now that I've learned (thanks to mamaflinters instructions) how to post pictures, I'll probably put up some others. Thanks for the lesson mama.

Nice pic ,congrats on your kill.
That rig your wearing is a little different from the average muzz hunter. Is that only for a special PA season? Do you have to wear orange during the muzz hunts? Congrats again.

In PA during the Late (Post Christmas) ML season, It's flintlock only with a few specifications on the weapon. A hunter doesn't need to wear orange when hunting for deer with a Flintlock. If you're hunting for small game you still need to be in orange. Otherwise you can be in camo or primitive attire at varying stages (coat only to full get up). I've meet guys in buckskins during the late season here in PA. And a few of them are from the neighboring states. They want to hunt in period attire so they'll make the trip. On the above harvest, my wool leggins and leather footwear were soaked through, so I'd changed into boots and dry socks for the rest of the day. I'm not period stupid to risk my health. I always have extra. alternate clothing and gear in my vehicle on hunts. I have an orange voyagers/Liberty cap and cape cover for my frock in case I'm in an unfamiliar area.
