Deerstalker. Congrats on your first deer with a bow. From the picture it appears your no spring chicken. I'm 56 and took up bow hunting a couple of years ago. Took my first deer with a bow last year. Had to trail it farther that you did. I can appreciate the satisfaction you have on a successful hunt. I got 2 with my bow this year and am already looking forward to next year.

I sure envey you, being able to hunt in shirt sleeves ; we don't have that luxuery up here in Nova Scotia.
Do you have a problem with flies and or meat spoilage ?

6 does came in. this one 20 yds. Magnus broadhead on a Carbon Fury arrow, with a Browning Apparation bow 62#. hit her high and ran about 1/8th of a mile. weather was 42 degrees partly cloudy, with a s/e wind, @ 8:20am on the 17th of Oct.
