Here's a picture of a replica mount of a Walleye I caught a few years ago in a Walleye Tournament. Measured 32 inches. The real fish was 2 oz short of a 10 hp Mercury outboard(largest fish). The real fish was live released after the weigh in. This mount now hangs on the wall of my cottage. The lure in its mouth is not what I caught it with, my kids put it there.

Nice Walleye! Never caught one myself. Did it take long to get it in?

Took about 5 minutes. Was caught in late May not too long after the ice went out and water was still cold and fish were rather lethargic. Walleye are finicky feeders a usually bite is very subtle. Have to use light, sensitive tackle. This one was caught on 6lb test mono with custom built graphite rod, Shimano reel with excellent drag system.
