Well, goodmorning from my cabin. Got up early this morning and decided to show and tell. Last week I wrote on bphounds thread and reported a big deer in my yard here but me, the dumby, forgot the camera at home . Anyway, I don't usually make the same mistake twice. The other evening out came 3 bucks grazing. Sure enough that big guy was there. Grabbed the camera and off I went. The sun was setting and light not great. The first few pics I took were from too far away and the flash didn't reach. I kept moving closer. 2 of the deer wondered off but the big guy he stayed and I got to within 10 to 15 feet and got some pictures. He didn't even seem to mind the flash. I reported on the other thread that he was 5 X 8 with 2 extra brow tines. I was wrong as you'll see in the pictures. Instead of 8, there are 9. On the other side there are 2 more brow tines starting. I'm sitting here typing and waiting to down load the pictures on photobucket on the dial up connection with is really slow . I don't have much more to say, so I just sit here and wait for the process to be complete. Ah, after 30 minutes it's done Here he is. He stopped grazing for a moment and I got this picture [ Then he went back to eating and I got this one. It show his rack and tines that are still growing

Gee, after I posted the picture I see that when I resized the pictures I made them too small. Because things are so slow up here I'll do it again when I get home and make them bigger so you can see the rack better.

Hard to say but he's been around for several years and when I first saw him 3 years ago, he had the same size rack.

I just reloaded the pictures and didn't resize them and they still appear small. Sorry. Here's another angle of him grazing. How about that, this one is bigger.

I was back at the cabin this weekend. Friday this buck was back. I couldn't get as close this time. He seemed a little shy. When he walked away I noticed he was limping and not putting any weight on his left rear leg. No obvious sign of injury. Don't know what happened to him. Saw him again Sunday evening. Not limping as bad but still favouring that leg.
