This past weekend my son and his new wife used our cabin at the lake. We stayed home so my wife could participate in a marathon and I could make sausage. Anyway my son invited one of his best men and his wife. While sitting on the deck on saturday afternoon, enjoying a cool frothy one , some deer came by. His best friend was impressed so my son said watch this. He grabbed a handfull of bird seed, sunflower seeds, and headed down to where the winter feeder was. Pictures had to be taken and here's one. Deer are still tame. Somethings up there never change

We feed them here too, but never saw one tame down like that.

My neighbor hand feeds that deer as well. Only difference is that in the winter he holds out a coffee can with oats and while the deer is eating out of the can he's got his arm around his neck and scratches him under the chin. Once the deer kicked at him with his front foot. Neighbor kicked the deer in the butt and after that he behaved himself. Last winter my son was also feeding some does and a fawn by hand too. thats funny you even have to kick some deer but to keep them in line. ;D ;D

Pretty well makes them non-targets come hunting season doesn't it.
