Hey RAF What do the rainbow trout in your neighborhood feed on? ;D Heard this record 43.6lb rainbow was caught in Saskatchewan, June 2007. Any confirmation on that? Ed

E.T. I think that's about right. There's a couple of brothers who fish Diefenbaker lake for rainbows regularly and are always catch big fish. They're not shareing their secrets but the do it routinely.

RAF and Jeremy
Thanks for the feedback and additional information. From other pictures I kind of thought there was a family resemblance with the two guys in it. Well they got their wish for a record and wonder what their next quest will be?

When I first saw the outline of this fish the first thing that came to mind was piranha. Bet this one could feed a lot of people at a fish fry. ;D

Another note of interest - they've caught somewhere in the neighbourhood of 200 rainbows over 20 pounds - and all of them except 2 have been succesfully released. That is quite a track record. These guys are some serious fisherman! They've got their own website now - www.fishinggeeks.net/

That was something! Here we have stripers and catfish that size, but rainbows of 3# are a real trophy.
