I am currently shooting a Wesson & Harrington buffalo classic rifle which I've attached a Pedersoli Long range creedmoor vernier tang sight. My barrel length is 34", and I'm shooting a 538 gr. spitzer bullet at around 1150 fps...I have had great results out to 200 yds. or so, with this load. My 200 yd. zero is around .990 on the vernier elevation scale...The maximum elevation on the scale is 3", leaving me with a full 2" of adustment to work with beyond 200 yds. Could anyone give me even a general idea of how far I can shoot my 45-70 on it's maximum elevation?

Powder charges play a big roll. Might figure 15-20 moa for every 100yds out to 500 with black. Then she'll start eating it up. I've a smokeless load that shoots 10 moa for every 100yds. out to 700 then it jumps up to 20 moa.
