I shoot a NAP Micro tune rest with two metal prongs (TM Hunter style), but can't seem to keep any shrink tube on it for more than 40 -50 arrows before it wears off. I shoot Gold Tip carbon arrows and Hoyt compound bow.
I assume that drawing the arrow across the tubing is abrasive enough to simply wear it off, which gives me arrow to metal contact and a resulting noise during the draw.
Anyone have any experience with a better system, such as replacing the prongs (with what? there are several options on the market), or a better brand of shrink tubes?
I hate to admit it, but the last two years I have used that fix-it-all, Duct Tape. It is quiet and tough enough to last, but I feel kinda low tech with it on my bow at such a critical point as the arrow rest.

It will keep it quiet enough to hunt with. And does not change POI.
