I may be crazy or something, but there are times when I feel like I can just shoot without really using my sight pins. Like I can and do shoot comfortably without the tedium of aiming with a sight. Anyone else experience this?

jjw, No, I can't say that I have done that, But something I think is a little similar is after settling the pin on center of bull - sort of staring through pin or not really seeing pin, but still getting good shot off! If that makes sense! ;D

You are not crazy at all, I shoot and hunt compound bow,but friend of mine with the long bow,so I spent some time shooting his bows- no sights of course. Well, couple amonth ago was target practicing with my compound- was not having a good day,for some reason- my arrows were all over at 20 yds. And I was using peep sights. I decided to switch and shoot by feel, like a long bow, paying no att-n to sights. I stepped little closer, just in case-never shot compound like that-shot few arrows really fast, one by one, simply concentrating on the center of the bulls eye. What you think? -Most arrows were touching each other! Thinking now about picking up a long bow for hopefully next season. Shooting by feel is not a myth, otherwise when Pilgrims landed here in America, there would be no Indians to help 'em first year. They'd be extinct-peep sights were not invented yet,at least not on longbow. ;D
