My friends at American Whitetail Targets are marketing an arrow rest that the arrow is not touching anything when at full draw. It is called - the AIR REST. Check it out at.. www.air-rest.com/home.html

They use high powered magnets in rest (all arround) and one in your arrow (1 glued in ). Works the same way magnets do when you put them togeather the wrong way they repell each other. The placement of the arrow magnet and your draw lenth are real critical. I am not sure how it would be in hunting conditions and it is hard to tell from the video how long the area of levitation is on the arrow, but the magnet on the insert looks only about 1/4" long. I would hate to bet may house on my draw being with in 1/4 to 1/2 the same from a tree with a deer in a poor location. Then there is the arrow inserts more weight and $12.99 for 6 .That gets expensive if you have 4 dozen arrows (=( $101.28) Think I will stay with my fall away rest

Think of how unreliable the thing would be if a UFO landed around you when you were shooting and created some strong magnetic field!

It's neat and all but I've seen alot of rests come and go.. I noticed in the video that the shooter had a pretty good grip on the bow..how is this rest effected by tourque? I think it would be best in the target world - Kevin

I think that it would best be in the, "never want to try, let alone have category."
